Process

   Submit application to the relevant port/airport authority or CBIC commissioner's office in India with business registration, financial statements, and proposed operational scope.

   Obtain provisional approval from the authority within 5-10 days pending final documentation review and background verification.
3. 📝
   Remit applicable license registration fees (₹25,000 to ₹2,50,000) to the port/airport authority or CBIC.
4. ✅
   Appoint qualified responsible officers and provide their credentials and training certificates to the customs authority.
5. 📤
   Receive final operational license valid for 3-5 years and integrate cargo tracking systems with CBIC's Customs EDI System.

Documents Required

• Valid business registration certificate (partnership deed, memorandum of association, or proprietorship deed).
• GST registration certificate under the Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.
• Audited financial statements for the preceding three financial years with CA-certified balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Detailed business plan including operational scope, fleet details (vehicles/containers), warehousing infrastructure, and service routes.
• Credentials and appointment letters of responsible officers authorized to handle customs documentation and cargo operations.
• Undertaking/indemnity bond guaranteeing compliance with Customs Act, 1962, and timely payment of duties and taxes.
