WPC ETA (Whole Pice and Components Export Turnover Agreement) is a specialized export promotion mechanism under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023-28 administered by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). It is designed to facilitate the export of wood, plywood, and wood-based components by Indian manufacturers and exporters, enabling them to claim duty benefits and concessional credit facilities on import of raw materials and inputs required for export production.
The WPC ETA framework operates under the purview of the Customs Act, 1962 and is governed by the FTDR (Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act). This agreement establishes binding commitments between the exporter and the Government of India regarding export obligations, import entitlements, and compliance with prescribed norms. It provides access to Advance Authorization schemes, duty drawback benefits, and concessional credit facilities under the FTP 2023-28.
